Peter Wiedemann, born 1958, studied Chemical Engineering 1977 to 1981 at the University of Applied Sciences in Nürnberg.
Until 1991 he worked as application specialist and sales manager for fillers, antioxidants and additives for plastics and rubber.
1991 he started WIPAG in Neuburg (Donau) together with his wife Renate Wiedemann. Originally planned as a compounder, WIPAG quickly developed to a leading player in the recycling of plastics and composites for the automotive industry.
Especially the technologies of secondary carbon fiber compounding, separation of multi-layer composites and the paint removal from plastic substrates allow a high-level reuse of plastic recyclates originating from production scrap and also end-of-life cars.
In 2001 Peter Wiedemann started WIPAG Nord KG in Gardelegen, Sachsen-Anhalt.
WIPAG has received a number of awards for environment and innovation achievements.
There are Joint-ventures in England and USA. So world-wide WIPAG can recycle 50000 tons of plastics.
